Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers must be 21 years and older.  We do not allow children to volunteer due to liability.

We are seeking volunteers in the following areas:

Fostering for Dogs- to give a dog a temporary home in preparation for his/her forever home.  All dogs are vaccinated prior to entering foster care and vet expenses are covered should the dog require spay/neuter or other veterinary needs. Adoption Application Processor
ToH's adoption applications are carefully screened to ensure the very best homes for our rescued animals.  Adoption Application Processors assist by checking various references and public data bases. Requirements below:

•    are able to make daytime and/or evening phone calls
•    have daily access to a computer
•    can check your email daily to be aware of your assigned application
•    love knowing you're helping an animal find a great home

Home Visitors
ToH visits homes of applicants before approving adoption.  ToH volunteers cover the task on an “as needed” basis.  As a home visitor, you will set up a time convenient to you and the adopter, be given a checklist of questions and guidelines for processing the visit.

Transporters
Tails of Hope needs volunteers with some dog-handling experience, a vehicle, and a desire to help. The destination varies depending on where the dog's location and where the foster family resides.  Long distance trips can be covered by multiple drivers.  Contact info@tails-of-hope.org if you are interested.
