How could we leave this little one at the shelter? Tammy was a mass of painful mats and overgrown toenails- you couldn't tell where the little dog was hiding underneath the mess. Her family took her to the shelter over the holidays; they said they didn't have time for her anymore, but it looks like they hadn't had time in many many months. After removing her dirty coat, we found an adorable and very sweet girl who requires very little attention and only asks to be loved, petted, fed, and taken outside every now and then. Tammy is quiet, calm, gets along with all animals, and is housetrained. She is about 14 years old and seems to be in very good health. She loves fluffy beds and rolls around rubbing her face and back on the soft fabric; how long since her skin felt anything other than painful mats?
