Louie is an adorable little rascal! He has lots of energy and is quite intelligent. He learned immediately how to use our dog door (a skill which some of our adult dogs had a hard time mastering). I have an herb garden, and Louie loves to roll, and roll and roll around in the chocolate mint "forest" growing there, which is great, because he smells wonderful when he's done doing the "mint roll". He loves playing with our other dogs who mostly tower over him (2 goldens, 1 lab, 1 hound mix, 1 beagle). Our female hound mix, Annie, barks at Louie, and he barks right back! He plays and wrestles with the big dogs without a problem. Once he gets some of his energy out, he likes to curl up next to me and get a belly rub while he falls asleep.

Our 15 year old grandson loves Louie, and they play ball and tug-of-war. Louie will chase & pick up a tennis ball even though its kind of big for his little mouth. He knows his name, and when we call him he comes running at top speed! We are crate training him, and he has been clean in his crate. He's picking up his house training rather quickly (we've had him for less than 1 week), and is fine overnight in his crate. During the day, he's only in his crate for naps, and has been doing pretty well with letting us know when to take him out.
