Napoleon is an adorable little mature Pug boy who came to the shelter due to a hoarding situation in a home with too many pets (he came with 9 yr old Josephine also on the Tails of Hope website). He is super sweet, affectionate and gets along great with other dogs. This happy healthy Pug is energetic and acts like a 2 year old. He appears to possibly have been treated with some cruelty as he shrinks a bit when you move forward to pet him but he squirms to you wanting affection and can grow out of the submissive reaction once he feels secure and loved. As with all our foster dogs, once adopted Napoleon may need a refresher course in house training during the acclimation period. Frequent trips outside, walks and positive reinforcement is necessary when making Napoleon a successful adoption. Dogs coming from hoarding situations need love, patience, tolerance and positive reinforcement when training. Pugs are a very easy going breed wanting to please - so help make Napoleon's forever home a safe, secure and happy place to get all the attention he deserves!
