ADOPTION PENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Schnitzel is doing so very well and he is (LITERALLY) bouncing around like a new pup! He requires a securely fenced yard. Schnitzel is a remarkable little fellow with a great big heart. He is interested only in being your companion and will do anything to ensure his place by your side. Whether dancing a "treat" jig or gently nuzzling your cheek he has but one goal: to be your loyal, steady companion. He's still working on his house training so his forever home will have to continue training with a consistent schedule to help him continue to be successful. He makes friends with dogs and cats alike and is always as happy to go on a jaunty walk as he is to nap quietly just as long as he has you to accompany him. He has a genuine heart and the trust which he places at the feet of humans is humbling considering his background and he has proven himself a most welcome guest and friend to all who meet and know him. This little fellow has earned a very special home and the happiest ending ever. ************************************************* Little Schnitzel came into the shelter as a stray. He is an adorable Schnauzer/Yorkie/Poodle mix. He improves daily with eating and energy level and will be available for adoption once he gains enough weight and strength. He is a trooper and has a very strong will to survive....along with a sweet cuddly disposition. Schnitzel arrived emaciated and matted and needed immediate urgent care. His fuzzy matted coat hid his emaciated little frame - you could feel all of the bones in his little back, rib cage, shoulders and hips. He was released to Tails of Hope as a medical emergency because of his emaciation. Schnitzel is about 6 lbs., and we estimate he should probably be around 15 if well-fed. Despite his skinny frame, he seems to be in pretty good shape and is eating several small meals throughout the day. He is about 2.5 years old. More about SchnitzelGood with Dogs, Good with Kids
