LIttle Deirdre was found dragging her badly broken back leg, an injury which probably resulted from being hit by a car -- a fate all too common for cats allowed outdoors. She was brought to the county animal control facility, and from there taken directly to a vet hospital, where she spent the next month. After it was determined that Deirdre's leg could not be saved, she underwent surgery and was taken home by a Tails of Hope foster.

Deirdre isn't one to let anything stop her. She can outrun the other cats -- and dogs -- in her foster home any day of the week! She is very personable, and a real character who likes to go off exploring on her own, but can still be found cuddled up under the covers with her human foster "sister" every morning. She gets along with other cats, but given a choice, she prefers the company of dogs!

Deirdre will only be placed in the Laurel/Columbia/Ellicott City area.
