Meet Raquel (Welch) – one of five dogs brought into a Baltimore shelter as victims of an arrested owner.  Tails of Hope was there as they brought in two boxes of little dogs confiscated from the owner.  3 of the 5 scared little senior dogs were taken by the Tails of Hope volunteer and the other two went to another rescue.  “Raquel” was the most outgoing and friendly peering out from the cardboard box as they sat them on the floor of the shelter.  Pleading to be picked up and cuddled she seemed to be the actress of the group speaking for all the rest that were too frightened.  She did well with bath time since she and her siblings were neglected little dogs with overgrown nails and knotted matted fur.  Raquel’s beautiful red hair made it easy for the foster mom to choose the name of a beautiful senior redheaded actress to do her justice.

Please consider this little senior dog to be the type of dog you make your whole world.  She deserves the best most adoring owner.  She will not be considered in a home with children under the age of 13 – and not because she doesn’t like children, but because she is too small and can get hurt by rough play or active young children.  She wants to be by your side or in your lap to be adored as she should.  Please give a warm welcome to the little actress Raquel – you’ll love her happy spirit and her beauty inside and out!
