SADIE, a beautiful, shy, smooth coat, St. Bernard has had a roller coster life over her last 6 years. Sadie came to TOH in 2002, along with her Mother. Both were being used as breeding machines for a backyard breeder and he didn't want them anymore. Both girls were adopted and given their first opportunity to experience a normal life, seeing things they never saw before--the inside of a house, hugs and kisses, brushing, human kindness and attention. Due to family crisis, no fault on Sadie's part, Sadie is now again looking for a kind, loving permanet home for her remaining life.

Knowing her beginnings, you are sure to understand Sadie's reason for her shyness, which has greatly improved, since initially coming to TOH. She knows how to walk on a leash nicely and is completely housebroken. She warms up to people, as she is allowed to become acquainted in a gentle quiet manner. Quick, loud actiions or sounds tend to scare Sadie. She has lived w/children and other dogs, however, she would do best in a home as the only dog or with another male dog. She is usually found relaxing by herself or by her "person's" side. She is very curious with small dogs and cats and due to her size we recommend a home without such. Sadie's on the smaller side for a Saint Bernard at only about 110 lbs. She did live with children, but we would suggest a quieter home rather than an active one.

This girl seems so grateful for any kindness extended to her, it melts your heart. She is so calm in the house, you don't know she is there.

Please, if your are looking for a BIG love in your life, please be sure to meet Sadie.
