Hi, my name is "Snookie". Someone sent a "Dogs Deserve Better" valentine to my owners and they called and said that they didn't want me anymore. Apparently, my caretaker's daughter "didn't have time" anymore for me, so that's why I was chained to a plastic doghouse in mud with a logging chain. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture taken of me in my old "home", because the camera batteries died, but that's OK, since I don't want to be reminded of the way I used to live! However, this is day #2 of my new life and I'm lovin' every minute of it. These pictures were taken right after my bath tonight and look how pretty I am now that I've traded in my logging chain for Mardi Gras beads and bows!! I am a 2-3 year old mix (lab/rottie/golden? not sure) female, and current on my shots. My former care taker had a daycare and I played extremely well with the children. I get along quickly with other dogs and I am interested in cats, but I don't chase them (so far!!) My rescuers have handled me every which way from Sunday -- lifting, tugging, pulling and bathing, etc. -- and I am extremely gentle. Right now I am being shuttled between three houses in a 60 mile radius because none of the people are home enough to keep me everyday (some of them have 10 and 12 hour days!!) You would be an very lucky person to have a doggie like me -- I like to give hugs, and I sit up on my hind legs and balance like a dancing bear and don't even jump on you. Won't you please look at my "glam" photos and see if you wouldn't be interested in meeting me. Right now I am shuttled between Gettysburg, Chambersburg and Waynesboro, PA and I'd REALLY like to be in one place!! Thanks for looking at my pix! -- Snookie
