Babe has been with us now for just about two weeks. She has regained her house breaking routine, admittedly once I learned what it was for her! She was a little skinny when she arrived, and has become a great eater. She loves car rides. She is learning some leash manners still, however the leash is an absolute MUST. She was able to climb my fencing in a matter of seconds, so if there is a fenced yard, her new family will have to stay right with her at all times. I understand that a dog that needs to be walked maybe hard for people with children, and admittedly her size may make her intimidating to smaller children. HOWEVER, she is just about the kindest, gentlest dog I have met. She would be a great companion for anyone. She has been great with my Great Dane and Mastiff, and just in the past few days, has felt confidant enough to really play with them. I am not sure how much play, Babe had before coming to TOH. She loves to have her own space to sleep, typically somewhere near my boys, or by me in the office. She has gone to visit folks at a Senior Center, and was great with them. She is so full of love, and wags and wiggles. She is a great dog, and it is unbelievable to me that she does not have a forever home. She is great with dogs, cats, and all people she has met. She just needs someone to have the time to walk her. If she gets out, she is very fast, perhaps because her legs are so long, when she climbed the fence, in a matter of seconds she was running through cornfields..it was like watching Big Brown at the Preakness!!! She is a million dollar Babe! More about BabeGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
