Alex is a very sweet male border collie mix (probably part shepherd or lab) who was surrendered to a crowded rural Virginia shelter when his owners moved. His owners said that their new home had no fence so they "had to" get rid of him. Who would want to throw this poor boy away? Alex is a quiet and friendly boy who knows how to sit on command. He is grateful for any attention and will happily lean against you to be petted. Because he is not the youngest dog at the shelter, he is passed over again and again. But Alex has lots of good years left and would love his own home.
This boy was kept outside and now learning house manners and housebreaking.. he loves to go for walks. He LOVES kids and other dogs and is afraid of cats... he's doing well with his house manners and acts more like a younster! He's playful and fun loving. He would do great in a home with children and another dog.
