Hi, my name is Denver, wanna play? Somehow I got lost from my former family and even though I spent days looking for them, I never found them and wound up at a shelter. But now I’m in a foster family with 2 other dogs and a cat. We all get along pretty well because I don’t mind being bossed around, even by the cat! I like it a lot when people throw my squeaky ball, because I like to run and walks are great, because of all the neat smells but most of all, I like a good lap to put my head in, because I just love to be petted and have my belly rubbed. My foster mom says I’m the quietest dog she’s ever had and that I win the blue medal. What does that mean? All I know is that after she said it, I got a doggy bone and I didn’t even have to sit first! I know how to sit and come and I’m working on stay and down. I’m a little nervous around men that I don’t know, so I have to be introduced to them first, give them a sniff and be told its ok. Foster mom says that makes me a very good canine alarm system and she says that she feels very secure walking me as I don’t like strange men to come near her. I like everyone else but very small children (under 10) who move so fast and make such strange sounds that I probably wouldn’t do very well in a home with them. I’m completely housebroken and don’t mind if people go to work or have things to do without me as long as I get a hug when I greet you at the door. Foster mom says that she and I could stand to loose 5-10 pounds so we’ve been taking a walk every day so we get some regular exercise. I’m looking for my forever home, please help me!
