Ginger is as sweet as they come. She probably never even had an assertive thought in her life. She just lives to be loved. Although she was abandoned, she looks upon any human as her savior and snuggles right up, hoping against hope that this person will love her back. A mature dog, this is truly her personality and one that won't change with time. She wags her tail at everyone and is good with people of all ages, from small children, to adults, to older individuals. She is very gentle and would make a wonderful companion for an older person or couple, but would also be good around young children because of her easy, happy disposition. She likes walks, but is fine with shorter ones, and really enjoys curling up near wherever her people happen to be. It takes so little to make her happy, really, just having you by her will do it. She looks forward to car rides and seems to actually smile as she watches the world go by. She loves other dogs and they love her right back. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and kinds. They seem to sense she is a wise and calm soul.  She is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations, as well as house trained.  She seems to have the cockapoo fur, as she doesn't shed at all. In fact, it's hard to make a hair come out at all, even if you pull on one! As to her heritage, we only have a good guess. When you first look at her, you immediately think "schnauzer", but then you notice her legs are a bit too long for that kind of dog. She has the curly hair, almost wavy, but it is as soft as a cloud, Petting her is a wonderful experience. Perhaps there is some cockapoo. She is marked like a blue merle, and she has outrageous long, silky ears that are the most fun to stroke. Her fur is longer normally than the picture we have of her, as she was badly matted from poor to no care at all when we got her and she has been heavily clipped. A trip to the groomer for a professional clipping would bring out all her natural beauty. Not too big, not too small, Ginger is the perfect size for cuddling. Check out the picture below with the human legs in it. That's a full grown man and will give you an idea of her size. If you would like to bring calm happiness into your life, Ginger would love to oblige. In fact, loving you would make all her dreams come true.

Comment from Foster: Ginger has to be one of the gentlest souls I've ever had. The first night she was here, when it came time for bed, I showed her the dog bed at the foot of my bed. The look on her face was priceless. She was clearly saying "For me?" Almost like she just couldn't believe her good luck. She sank down on it so gratefully, sighed, and went to sleep. And here I thought it was such a small thing.
