Walker is a very sweet and very good boy!  He is very social with other dogs and does not have a problem with cats.  He was found by a shelter worker eating cat food in her barn.  He has graduated from the cell dog training program, where he has learned basic commands.  Now all he needs is a good home with people that will love him.  If you would like to adopt this wonderful boy, please fill out an application online. This boy is so exceptional!!!

The cell dog program sends the dogs to prison (literally) where each dog is paired with an inmate and they spend a minimum of 7 weeks, learning crate training, housebreaking, socialization with other people and other dogs, and basic obedience skills (sit, stay, come, etc). These are trained dogs, so they generally will assimilate easier into homes. However, adopters should understand that they will still be required to take the dog to a basic obedience class - this is to reinforce good behaviors as well as build the bond with the new family.
