Dinky the ballet dancer. Yes, you read that right. Dinky loves to dance. He will stand up on his hind legs and strut all over the room, every few steps he will turn pirouettes. He could be your own private circus dog and would make you laugh every day. Very calm, very laid back, very good at his Big Top act. He is only missing his tutu! Does a soft white coat count? Dinky is an amazing, friendly little dog and recently life has not been kind to this people oriented pup. After suffering for a year and a half locked in a tiny cage, without being able to see the sun or feel the fresh air, he has still retained his outgoing, happy personality. He loves everyone and everything in the world and has been so excited to be able to do all the things he remembers from the good days. He is simply grateful to walk on the grass, sniff at the air, lie on a dog bed. What he missed most, though, was love, and now he is making up for it. He is thrilled to sit on your lap and give kisses, and wants to lie next to his person wherever they are. He loves to roll over on his back and get a tummy rub. If you sit down and pat your lap, he will jump right up and curl up for petting. He is exceptionally quiet for his breed and rarely barks. He likes to play outside , but is quiet inside. It has been a while since he had anyone to love him and teach him things, so now he is busy remembering to be house trained and how to walk on a leash. A little guy this smart should bring back the basics in no time! Still quite young, he has a lifetime of joy to feel and to give to someone special who will love him back. Perhaps you will be that person. UPDATE FROM FOSTER FAMILY: I can describe Dinky in one word -- happy. He knows to sit up to beg and it makes him irresistable! He is such a quiet little dog and is well crate trained. He does have an allergy to fleas and is currently recovering from the rash he developed from flea bites at the shelter. He is entertaining me daily with his circus tricks and I can't wait to see what else he can do. I'll bet if I had a hoop he would jump through it. Who knows, maybe he even does backflips on command! He is now perfectly house trained and has even learned to avoid outdoor potted plants. He recognizes that only trees and tall grass are potential potty spots. Good Boy!
