Exciting Changes are Coming to
Tails of Hope!

We're really excited to announce some wonderful changes happening at Tails of Hope!

Megan Powers has been a fearless and dedicated leader for ToH and we want to express our heartfelt thanks for her years of selfless service. We're thrilled to let you know that she will be starting a brand new group, Good Old Tails, which will focus on rescuing those dogs and cats who are so often left behind: seniors. We know that she will make a huge difference in the lives of so many pets who are discarded simply because they have grown gray in the muzzle. We wish her well and will continue to support her efforts as she starts this new venture.

Linda Junkins, founder of ToH, will be staying on as a board member and advisor. We are so grateful to her for her dedication in starting and nurturing such a wonderful organization, and for continuing to share her expertise. Taking over as co-directors of ToH will be Sue Hempen and Kelly Gillis, who both bring years of rescue experience to the table. With new leadership comes a shift in the mission of ToH, one which we feel is often under-served in the rescue world. While we won't be doing animal intake for the foreseeable future, we will be focusing on tackling the homeless animal problem at the source: overpopulation.

We will work to reduce the number of homeless and euthanized dogs and cats through spay and neuter programs. But we're not stopping there. We believe that we can also help to improve the quality of life of shelter animals through fundraising efforts and resource sharing. We'll also be implementing a humane education program and concentrating on animal advocacy and wellness, in an effort to ensure compassionate treatment of all living creatures and to end cruelty and suffering.

We want to assure you, our amazing supporters and volunteers, that Tails of Hope will remain deeply committed to the plight of homeless dogs and cats. Our unwavering focus is on the animals--they are the reason we do what we do.

We're in the process of making the transition, with April 1 as the official target date. We hope you'll continue to support ToH and lend your support to Megan's new group. We have big plans in the works, but we absolutely need YOU in order to make them successful.

Thanks for all you've done to make ToH what it is today. We're eager to start this new journey--with YOU right there by our side!

Warmly,

Your Friends at Tails of Hope

Adopt an Animal

Tails of Hope rescues dogs who are facing euthanasia.  Tails of Hope does not take dogs from the public (owner surrenders).

We are not a facility. We are a network of private foster homes.

Please see our link "Adopt an Animal" to review our requirements for applying for a Tails of Hope rescued dog.
