In order to provide assistance to the animals who come to us with special medical needs, Tails of Hope has set up Rhett's Fund. Rhett was a wonderful German Shepherd, who came to Tails of Hope in 2002 at the age of 6, with a severely injured leg. After surgery and a long recovery time, we were still fearful that Rhett would need to have his leg amputated. Fortunately, he didn't, and was adopted to a loving family who cared for him until his recent passing on February 23, 2006. We were greatly saddened over the loss of this beloved dog.
Money donated to Rhett's Fund will help defray the costs for animals in need of additional medical services above and beyond ordinary veterinary care. We thank you for your contributions that will enable us to care for these animals who so desperately need extra help.
