Who We Are
Tails of Hope Sanctuary is an organization which rescues shelter animals who are in trouble. These animals may have simply run out of time at a shelter, or have correctable health or behavioral needs which we address before they become available for adoption. Either way, we provide a safe place for them while they await permanent homes, and we free up much-needed space at shelters. Currently, our Sanctuary is actually a network of foster care providers.
Tails of Hope promotes healthy, safe and responsible pet guardianship. We focus on educating the public about the need for spaying and neutering pets, meeting their pet's nutritional requirements and the harmful ingredients in many of today's pet foods. We educate on the health dangers of over-vaccinating, why training is so important and what is involved in being a responsible pet guardian. Please see our links section for more information.
Some of the dogs we take into rescue come from very rural areas where the chance of a loving home is slim. The shelters work closely with us to provide the most accurate evaluation of temperament, so we are able to make highly adoptable family pets available. We do our best to have all dogs in foster homes prior to adoption to further evaluate and help us properly place them in the right environments.
We do our best to assure any potential adopter that the dogs we take in are very friendly, healthy and will provide many years of great companionship. Please read the descriptions and be open to a good match and not necessairly looks.
