Description: This is truly a diamond in the rough..... she is amazingly sweet and loving even though you can see in her eyes how poorly she was treated... she is so underweight, terrible fur and needs a TON of love and good food. She couldn't be sweeter.. I fell head over heels for her and she is definitely a "special one"... after dealing with literally thousands of dogs for many years, I do not say this lightly!!!
Jinx has no idea why she was abandoned, but she does know that she wants more than anything in the world to belong to a family. With her heritage, she would be a perfect family dog and has proved that in the shelter, showing herself to be sweet and friendly. Jinx loves attention and will give as many kisses as you are willing to take, if only you will pet her, or run your hands through her soft, soft fur. She is good with other dogs and wags her tail with joy whenever anyone comes near. She is always hoping that this one will be her forever person. She would love to fill your house with happiness and would consider it her duty to snuggle up on the cold nights, now just around the corner. If you are looking for a best friend, Jinx is volunteering for the job!
SPECIAL NOTE FROM FOSTER:Jinx has the most pleading eyes. She is starved for attention and is very eager to please, She does the most amazing thing -- she will stand up on her hind legs, gently place her front paws on your shoulders, and lean her head against your chest, carefully keeping her weight off you. It feels for all the world like a hug from a best friend. I have never had a dog do that before. So soft, so gentle, so sweet. It is breaking my heart to see how thin she is, and I fully intend to fill her with good food as fast as possible, but, even though she is very hungry, she eats quietly and carefully. She is going to be a breathtaking beauty when she gets to her normal weight and her fur takes on a healthy dog luster. She will be a show stopper to walk. I can't wait! She is a very submissive dog, you could call her a gentle giant! She will not even argue about her own food, but will turn her head away if another dog tries to take it from her. Sadly, after being nearly starved to death, she has gotten used to being hungry. She is never food motivated, but will do anything for love. A gentle voice, a pat on the head, and she is all yours. She loves to roll on her back, asking for a tummy scratch. She will stretch and sometimes even groan with pleasure as you rub her tummy. She is very quiet in the house, but playful outdoors. She seems to be very well house trained. She has a huge desire to please and I think she would be very easy to train to do whatever you wanted with good, positive training. Emphasis on the positive. She responds best to kindness.
